Permissions and Access Control

Modified on Thu, 3 Oct at 10:35 AM

On Skynamo, management can decide how much access they would like their users to have (these are called permissions on Skynamo). These permissions are also split up per user role, which means that you can give some users more access than others, without having to set up the permissions for each person individually.

For example, I can have a user role called "Account Manager" and assign all of the permissions to this user role, thus giving them access to the entire Skynamo system. I can then assign my 3 top managers on Skynamo to this role. At the same time, I can have a user role called "Field rep" and choose which permissions I want to grant them (such as being able to self-assign customers or download their customer list), while also choosing which permissions to deny them (such as accessing Reports and the User list). I can then assign all of my field reps to this role, thus giving them all the same access.

Skynamo already has a few default user roles created, namely "Account Manager", "Manager", "Field rep", and "Office Admin". However, new roles with their own set of permissions can be created and existing roles' permissions can be changed at any time (usually by an Account Manager).
