This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to install a barcode scanning keyboard on your mobile device. With this keyboard, you can effortlessly scan barcodes and instantly input the data into text fields within your forms.
To add the Barcode and QR code Keyboard, follow the steps below:
To add the Barcode and QR code Keyboard, follow the steps below:
- Open Google Playstore and search "Barcode and QR code keyboard" and select the option as shown below:
- Click Install
- Click on Open and follow the prompts. Select ENABLE IN SETTINGS and switch on the "Barcode & QR Keyboard" as shown below.
- Skip Step 2 and press CONTINUE.
- Select SWITCH INPUT METHODS and follow the prompts as below.
- Just press CONTINUE on the step.
- Now you can proceed to open your standalone form on Skynamo. Tap on the text field where you wish to add the barcode and select the barcode icon on the keyboard as shown below.
- Allow the permission to use the app. You will then be able to scan the barcode of your choice.
- The Text field will then instantly be populated with the barcode.
Should you wish to switch between keyboards due to preference you can follow the steps below:
To go back from the barcode keyboard to Samsung keyboard:
- Select the keyboard icon like in the image below.
- Select the Samsung Keyboard.
To navigate from Samsung Keyboard to Barcode & QR Keyboard:
- Tap and hold the microphone button at the bottom left corner of your screen.
- Select "Input method".
- Select the Barcode & QR keyboard.
Going forward you should then be able to easily switch between your two keyboards via the keyboard button at the bottom left of your screen.
