There are specific settings and permissions on your device that need to be set up correctly in order for your device to sync properly. The steps below will help you to set up your device for optimal syncing.
Before you start checking your settings, make sure that you have a working internet connection:
-Navigate to your Google search and search for anything, e.g. "Weather". If the search goes through, your internet connection is working. If the page does not load or you get a "No internet connection" error message, it means your device is not syncing, due to a lack of internet connection. In this case, check that your data/Wi-Fi is switched on and that you have enough data.
If you do have a working internet connection, please check the following settings on your device:
- Make sure your Skynamo app is up to date:
- Go to your Google Play Store > Search for Skynamo > Click on Skynamo > Click on the green Update button if there is one:
If it simply says "Open", then your Skynamo app is up to date
- Check that your battery saver/power-saving mode is turned OFF:
-Settings > Battery and Device Care/ Device Maintenance > Battery > Power saver (OFF)
- The app needs a minimum of 15% of your total space to save data on your device. Check your available storage space and delete apps and files until you have more than 15% of free storage on your device:
- Settings > Battery and Device Care> Storage > Available space > Ensure that you have at least 15% of space available
- Ensure battery optimization for Skynamo is turned OFF:
-Settings > Apps/Application Manager > Skynamo > Battery > Optimize battery usage > All apps > Skynamo > Not Optimized:
OR
-Settings > Apps/Application Manager > Skynamo > Battery > Unrestricted:
- Clear your cache for Skynamo:
- Settings > Apps/Application Manager > Skynamo > Storage > Clear cache
- Ensure that your device's software is up to date:
-Settings > Software Update > Download and install > Install the update if one is available
- Switch your sync off and on to force a resync:
-Settings -> Accounts and backup -> Manage accounts -> Honeybee/Skynamo -> Sync account -> Untick the box -> Very importantly, tick it again
