How to Set Up an Invoice / Sales Graph in Power BI using Skynamo Data

  • Updated

Firstly, you need to have connected Skynamo's Reporting API and selected the "Customers", "Users" and "Invoices" to sync. If you are unsure of how to do this, check out this article to connect.

Once you're connected and your data has synced, it should look something like this:

Firstly, let's rename the Page to "Invoices - Consolidated". You'll see it in the bottom left-hand corner, simply right click on the tab, and rename it:

Personally, I prefer Line Charts for Sales Data, so go ahead and select this option from the "Visualisations" tab:

To get started, click on the visual that appears:

Now, we're ready to start analysing! To start off, go to the "Invoices" Table, listed on the far right. From there, drag the "value" into the "values" field:

You should see a single value now appear on your visual:

Next, drag the "date" field into the "axis" empty field:

If you have invoice values, then a graph should appear :) Congrats, you did it!

Now, in the top right-hand side of the visual, you'll notice that there is a "hierarchy" with two arrows pointing downwards. Clicking on this will show the graph per quarter, and again will show you per month:

Congratulations on your sales graph!
