Google Play™ Store - Clear App Cache
If your device runs slow, crashes or resets, or apps freeze when running them, clearing the cached data may help.
- Clearing the Google Play Store app cache and data can help eliminate error messages, connection failures, etc.
- After completing these steps, it's necessary to accept the Google Play Store Terms of Service in order to re-enter the Play Store.

Android 8.0 and higher devices
- From your Home screen, navigate: Settings > Apps.
- Tap Google Play Store. (If you cannot see it, try searching for it in the search bar.)
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear Cache.
- Tap OK.
Android 6.0 and Android 7.0
- From your Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > Apps.
If unavailable, navigate: Apps > Settings > (Applications) Application manager.
For Oreo OS, navigate: Apps icon > Settings > Apps & Notifications > App info.
- Tap Google Play Store.
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear Cache.
- Tap OK.
Android 5.1 and lower devices
- From your Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings.
- Tap one of the following:
