1: Can I add customer or company details to an order, quote or credit note?
We sometimes wonder how we can add certain company details, for example, banking details or T&C’s to orders, quotes or credit notes. This can be done by adding the required details as a label in your customer fields. Below is an example of how this can be done:
On Insights go to your settings:
Select the Customer Fields option:
Create a Label from your questions fields:
Add your text, and on the right of the questions when you have selected your label, you can adjust your settings.
This can include which documents this information should be applied to, if it should be visible to the user, and how big it should appear. We recommend the fine print option:
2: Can I ensure that my users are required to add certain details when adding a new customer?
There might be certain information that your company requires from a customer for an account to be opened, or other users to contact the customer. By using the settings of the customer fields you can do this. The setting you need to select is “This field must have a value” after selecting the relevant question. As illustrated below, once this setting has been chosen the user will need to fill in this information before they can finish adding the customer:
