I will now walk you through the process of updating your prices through the import tool.
Firstly, login your instance with your Username and Password:
Click on the Products tab and select Price lists:
Here you will be able to manage your price lists.
You can add price lists at the top right by selecting the + sign, download price lists (next to +), select default price lists for new customers, set a warning price list and minimum price list.
To create a price list, simply click at the top right on the plus, add the name of your price list and click create:
- Note that I have not created this price list, it is just an example.
Now that we know how to create a price list, we can start exporting them to edit prices!
Click on Settings in the top right corner:
Click Import products and select the Download all box:
This will download an Excel file which you can now open for editing.
::NB:: Note that it is advisable to download this file 2x that you have a backup.
Once you have opened the downloaded Excel file you will see the following:
Note that we don’t need all this details to edit prices, so let’s delete the unnecessary columns and keep the ones we need. (We do this to not accidentally change any data that should have remained the same.)
We want the following columns:
Code l Name l Unit name l Multiplier l Price Level (Wholesale Price in this example)
- Unit name will always be Unit and Multiplier 1.
Right click the unnecessary columns and select Delete:
After deleting the unnecessary columns, we are left with the following:
Change the prices as required and save the Excel document.
- (In my example I have decreased the prices with 10%.)
Go back to your Import Products tab and select Browse:
Locate your edited Excel document and select Open:
Click on File Select and Honeybee will check your data.
If all is correct with your data, you will now be able to import products:
After the import is completed you will see the following screen:
By clicking on the Products tab and selecting one of the edited products I can see that the prices have updated:
That is all, you can now edit prices in bulk!
